Atelier DELF B1+: écriture
This is not a grammar class, but grammar topics may be discussed if the instructor notices a need across students.

B1.1
This course is for students who have completed A2.4, or approximately 180-200 hours of French lessons. During this class, students will talk about their cultural roots and memories, and traditions and stories in the francophone world. By the end of the class, you will use various tenses to tell stories and memories with details.
Défi 3: This book will be available at https://klettwl.com/store/content/afdenver-french by December 13, 2024. Tech savvy students are welcome to use the digital edition of the textbook and/or the workbook on. A subscription to Espace Virtuel grants students access to the workbook, so there are a variety of options for purchasing physical/digital materials. Students purchasing physical books will still have access to corrections and audios on the Espace Virtuel.
This book will be used for B1.1 through B1.4. B1.1 will review Units 1 and 2.

This course is for students who have completed B1.2. If you are new to AF Denver, please take our placement test prior to joining the class.
This class will focus on studies in France and understanding current events from France and other francophone countries. By the end of
the class, you will know more about French higher education and how to understand, analyze, and write about current events in French.

Casse-Croûte
Les “casse-croûtes” de l’Alliance Francaise de Denver – Special Lunch Time Conversation Program BYOCC! (Bring Your Own Casse-Croûte !) From the literal translation to “break the crust” (as in breaking bread), the Casse-Croûte is a light meal shared between friends, colleagues, and family; a French version of a brown-bag lunch. Join us for a lively conversation based on current events/magazine articles/news, etc. related to your level of French. Conversations will be facilitated by the teacher who will prepare something different for each session. No textbook needed for this class.

Histoires françaises et dessin
Cet atelier vous propose de découvrir une sélection de contes, fables et légendes de la tradition française. Vous serez invité à explorer ces histoires, leurs auteurs et leurs contextes autour d’activités interactives de lecture, d’analyse et d’écriture créative. Pour chaque histoire, vous serez guidé dans la réalisation d’une illustration en rapport avec celle-ci.
In this class, students will explore tales, fables, and legends of France. You will learn about the stories, their authors, and their importance in history with interactive activities. For each story, students will work through creating illustrations.
Matériel :
-a #2 pencil
-a blending stump (medium size) or a Q-tip.
-a pencil sharpener
-an eraser
-a ruler
-colored pencils. Make sure to have different nuances of the same color (different greens, grays...)
-a black erasable pen with a fine point.

Intermediate Conversation B1
This in-person course is designed to encourage B1-B2 level students to converse. Different topics will be chosen by the instructor each week. Students will participate in role playing, presentations, discussions, games, and more to improve their fluency, vocabulary, and grammar.
