Wine Tasting: Alsace Region
Sprechen Sie Elsässisch? Ouais, moi non plus. Heureusement, you don't need to speak French, Alsatian, German or
Flemish to enjoy the crisp whites that hail from Alsace. Located in northeastern France, Alsace, while no longer occupied by
Germany, is not totally French either and Germanic influence is undeniable in the high-acid, aromatic, predominately white wines. This
picturesque region will be the focus of the next educational wine tasting led by Certified Sommelier, Greta Arendsen, with
cheese selected from Certified Cheese Professional, Devin Lamma. We will discuss the northern terroir in the Vosges mountains, Franco/Prussian influences, wine laws and taste wines made from the four noble grape varieties, among others. Please join us April 11th for a night of frenetic wine and creamy cheeses. S’gilt!
