Café Culturel : French Grand Opera and Ravel
Join us for this exceptional Café Culturel in partnership with the Boulder Opera. This is a unique opportunity to learn more
about French opera composers and their works. Opera singers from the Boulder Opera will give us a presentation on the history of
French Opera.
In this session, we will listen to some of the most important French opera works, and specifically focus on the works of
Maurice Ravel. A performer from the Boulder Opera will also sing some pieces from French Operas. This event will be held at the
International School of Denver (ISD). Please make sure you come from the entrance located on 206 Red Cross Way Denver, CO 80230, as
there will be no one to let you in at ISD main entrance.
Later in December, the Boulder Opera will bring the enchanting L’enfant et les sortilèges (The Child and the Spells: A Lyric
Fantasy in Two Parts) by Ravel with stage direction by Dana Kinney, and music direction by Steven Aguiló-Arbues. For more info on
that separate event please click on the following link : https://www.boulderoperacompany.com/lenfant-et-les-sortilges
